War is a privilege that is being abused and the ignorance of our kind. War is man at its most primitive and most barbaric. The fact that your life is in danger make you do things that you thought you wouldn't have the guts to do. But wars are not fought anymore, ever since the invention of the gun. New age warfare is for cowards who cannot kill a man with out a projectile weapon. Our kind hides behind their possesions and consumed by there own greed making them weaker. It truly is sad

The species improves genetically through
conflict, either with nature or internally.
No, I am not advocating war: Humans have
minds and can produce far more compelling
changes (like electricity) than the ability
to run faster, etc.
However, as an evolutionist, it clearly serves
a purpose.

Other than eliminating slavery, Nazism, liberating those crushed under the Soviet Union's iron fist, destroying Imperial Japan and replacing it with a great modern one, stopping genocide, allowing you to remain free and opposing fanatical Islamic Fascists, nothing.
There are some things far worse than war. Give me liberty or give me death.

It is excellent for the arms manufacturers, there's no doubt about that, they must rub there hands with glee replacing all those weapons of mass destruction and laughing all the way to the bank.

Well, we could just kneel to those that want to destroy us, but I'd rather fight. War isn't good but as long as their are human beings in this world there will be differances and there will be battles btween the two. It would be nice if we all 'just get along' but that's not going to happen.

As the planet is over populated, it comes in useful as a sort of cull.
