After a night of drinking a few nights ago, I woke up with what i thought was a UTI. It was pretty bad. I got some UTI pain meds, and that helped a bit. This was on Sunday. Now I still feel pressure, but at the same time, the vaginal opening is itching like crazy. It feels really wierd I can't really explain it. I think I still have the urge to pee, but...I don't know I hate it and its uncomfortable. I want to go into work late so that I can get some yeast infection meds.

This is so uncomfortable that I want to cry. I cant go to the doctors today, and I would like to avoid that if possible. Is it okay to treat for a yeast infection? Even if I am not sure that I have one???

STD's are ruled out.

Also, there isn't any smell that I have noticed, although the smell is a little bit different, but not awful. There is no discharge, infact, I am a little dry.

thrush meds best for this, they offer oral meds now, give it a go. make sure you wear clothes that breath and don't shave/wax any hair, brazilian hair-do's encourage thrush, contrary to belief.

if you are taking any medication, especially antibiotics for uti etc, make sure you eat yoghurt or soak a tampon in natural plain yoghurt, it is soothing and beneficial.

It could be a pelvic infection, UTI, or just about anything. Your best bet is to go to the doc. If left untreated it could cause you to be sterile.

A yeast infection has a white disharge. It itches really bad. You can try an otc yeast medicine. It could also be a bacterial infection. If that is the case...then you HAVE to get on an antibiotic quickly. Same goes for a UTI.

Until you can see a doc, drink lots of water. Dont try cranberry juice. It has sugar and yeast feeds off of sugar.
