I have a 360 and enjoy lots of great games and online play with downloadable tv to come. Also new games like Halo 3, Jericho , Mass Effect plus GTA , Resi Evil 5, and new Splinter Cell. I want a Wii for the kids and probably to lose some weight but the fact it also is an innovation in itself, though no hd gaming. PS3 is over expensive and not much out yet. Not sure of the blueray thing either as we don't know what format will win. Have Sony blown it this time? But heah!! What do you think?

We have tested and accepted reviews on all three systems. As far as graphics are concerned the xbox 360 and PS3 capable of 1080p are both similar since the xbox has recently released a 1080i update allowing the 360 to display full 1080i on 1080i capable t.vs. Prior to this update the 360 couldn't go 1080i.

Playstation 3 does offer more out off the box than Xbox 360, and the PS3 network is free to owners of the PS3.
# PS3 premium-60 gig
# Blue Ray
# True 1080p HiDef
# PSP game share
# The internal 60 gig hard drive- capable of storing Ps2 memorycard game saves, photo, movies, music etc…
# Ability to hook up external hard drives, and jump drives- and transfer music, photos, videos, etc……. Playstation 3 Solutions
# Key board and mouse abilities
# Surf anywhere on the net like any computer (PS3 Has it's own web browser)
#
# Play games- Resistance Fall of Man- Motostorm(out in march)
# Play all the Ps2 games if you have ps2

Xbox 360 Premium-
# 20 gig hard drive
# Xbox live has fees but is great fun and has a large community
# Has awesome Great game titles and exclusives
# 1080i update available- but not blue Ray
# No web Browser for internet browsing yet but a new updated version of the xbox will be out this summer so maybe…..
# Xbox 360 currently has more games available and Halo 3 is soon to be released.

All offer WiFI connection to the internet but the Xbox needs the purchase of extra hardware to do so.

Wii
# The Wii is very innovative and is a riot to play. You actually get tired.
# The internet browser (once downloaded for free on the Wii beats them all for surfing the net with ease.. )
# The Wii also allows you to download old nintendo classics to play on the Wii.
# You can play gamecube games and the Wii has ports for up to four gamecube controllers and 2 gamecube memory cards.
# The Wii has it's own online community and it will soon have online gaming.
# It also has two usb ports for importing photos etc....

They are all great systems.

I`m a 360 fan myself. But I think "next gen" will soon to become known as "rip-off gen" lets look at the 360
Games from new between £40-£50. The same game on the 360 and xbox, is usually more expensive (360) has less content (360) more content available to purchase on xbox live(360) "But what about the nice, new, shiny graphics" i hear you cry, sure-some games look outstanding, but only some. gameplay over graphics every time. Also 360 has been out for nearly 16 months and in all honesty, there are only about 10 games worth buying. And before all you PlayStation fanboys get all high and mighty, the same will happen on PS3. But in UK PS3 owners will get the worse deal. Nearly £500, NOT all games backwards compatible (unlike the US) I`m sure it will be a good console, but you better be prepared to PAY for it. Sony taking advantage of its european customers again methinks. But I have heard lots of potential Ps3 owners refusing to buy one and opting for 360, I do think sony have fumbled in their own half with this one though!

If blu-ray wins the HD DVD war then they are quid’s in, as it stands the PS3 is selling more in the far east because it's the cheapest way to get a blu-ray player but it seems to be the only thing it has over the 360, the wii is a kids toy, its all gimmicks and doesn’t even have HD output, fine for a 17" portable but no good on the 40" plasma, the 360 has it in the bag at the moment, Sony must be worried

My husband and I love our Wii, and we're planning on getting a 360 with our tax-return. We're totally waiting to see what sony does with the PS3, if they're gonna drop the price, or release a dumbed-down version for those of us that JUST want to play the games.

Eventually we'll end up with all 3 new systems, but Sony really needs to get their stuff together (either that or release the pretty remake of FF7) before we buy the PS3.

Hopefully Sony hasn't bitten themselves in the butt by trying to release the most 'technologically advanced' system out there. I'm a huge fan of all the japanese RPGs that Sony makes possible for American consumption, so I'd be sad to see the PS3 go completely under.

I am a Nintendo fan, so I just had to have a wii. I finally got one and I love it! Not only is it cheaper but it is the best game console out there. It's fun for the whole family, and it will help you loose weight. I have burned over 200 calories playing wii sports last night. And the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is a game no one should miss out on. It's a great game. And there are some other great wii games out there too and the games coming out sometime this year like Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Super Mario Galaxy are going to be great and worth the wait. Your kids would love it and you would too.

Ah, I am going through this debate with myself at the moment.

I have a 360 but am thinking of selling it as there just aren't enough games of the type I like being released (strategy/RPG/Adventure sort of games rather than Action or Sport).

I think I will stick to PC gaming for a while until I can get more feedback on the consoles (considering the Wii and the PS3 aren't even available in the UK at the moment)

I've played them all and at this point with its capabilities and game selections the 360 hands down beats the PS3. When it comes to the Wii its in a class of its own that can't really compare to the other two. The only problem is that the Wii, at least for me, is impossible to find in stores. Many say its for "kids" but I think once you start playing some of the games on it and find out how addictive the gameplay is you'll find your kids crying to mommy that daddy won't take turns.

I am a Playstation fan - so i have to say ps3.
You say that Playstation 3 is over expensive, er no! Check your facts mate, sony is losing money on the first consoles made due to the high spec of the console. I cant think right now, but if you were to buy all the spec of ps3 speratley i read that could cost you over £1000, but hey its upto you pay £430 for a great console or £250 for xbox 360 which is now old, £180 for a wii, which yeah looks good, but i have noticed the games are always cartoony graphics!

Dont listen to anyone else!!!!!!!! i used to have the 360, Wii and now i only have my PS3. Because sure not much is out now but the PS3 just blows evry other system away!!!! The games that are out like Resistance: Fall of Man is absolutely gorgous. and dont even get me started on Virtua Fighter 5, it obliterates evry fighting game on the 360 and Wii combined!!!! so trust me you can go get the Wii or keep your little 360 but the PS3 and Blu-Ray will, in the end, come out on top.

I've played the 360 and enjoyed it but gameplay wise I haven't see anything much different from what could be achieved on the original X-Box.
The Wii may not be the most powerful but it's the most fun console I've played in years. And surely that's what counts?
