It's 72-10, by the bulls in the 90's

25 games left, do you think the Mavericks can go 25-0 or 24-1 to beat or tie the record?

Nothing is impossible but I doubt it.

Dallas lost against Chicago, Detroit, Golden State, Houston, La Clippers, LA Lakers, San Antonio, Utah and Washington.

In their 25 games left, they are playing the Pistons, the Clippers, to Lakers, the Spurs and the Jazz once each and the Warriors twice...

Can they do it? I'm sure they could, I just don't think it will happen. Have you ever seen a team win 38 in a row? Cause if they want to beat the record, this is what they'll have to do.

I think teams like San Antonio, Detroit and Houston are 3 really good defensive teams... And I think it's the only real thing that can stop the Mavs.

From my point of view, the Mavs will lose another 4-5 games to end up with a 68-14 or so record... Which is awesome for a 21st century team.

In the East, there are too many great teams for the Mavericks to win it all, going 38-0 to end the season. At some point, those players remain humans and just can't do it.

If they were to do it though, I'm sure that record would make history for a LONG time!

I love the Mavs but I just don't think they can do it no.

It's certainly possible because unlike other teams that go on a winning streak, the Mavs don't have letdowns since they know that their mission isn't done until they win the championship. Avery Johnson is the kind of coach that won't let his team get complacent, which is why you won't hear about the Mavs getting too excited about regular season wins. The fact that the Mavs are 11-0 in back to back games and 21-6 on the road, only the Suns are even 21-6 at home, shows that they are a very focused and disciplined team. Those early losses against the clippers and warriors don't really mean much since the Mavs are not the same team they were in november and december. The Mavs are undefeated in February, have not lost consecutive games since the first four games, and are the first team in nba history to have 3 winning streaks of 12 or more games. But if the Mavs get a big lead against the Suns, they will probably rest their starters at the end of the season instead of chasing the record.

I think the Mavs will end up more in the 67-70 range. If the Mavericks hadn't started the season out 0-4, They lost to San Antonio (understable) in the first game of the season and than lost to Houston on the road (it happens) but the losses to Golden State at home and the Clippers when they were already 0-3.... If they had started out 2-2 I think they'd have an excellent shot at the record, because the rest of their schedule is pretty weak..... 25 games left 17 against teams below 500

There is no way the Mavs go 25-0 or 24-1. First of all they still got to play the Spurs and Jazz and Detroit once and the Suns twice and not to mention all the teams that are playing to get in the playoffs. The Mavs are a good team and play good defense but just between the Spurs, Jazz, Detroit, and Suns they'll lose 2 games. So that automatically puts them below the Bull's record. I see them finishing the season 68-14.

HELL NO. they got 9 loses now. They gonna lose some more. I think they can get 67 wins and 15 loses or 69 wins. But they will not beat the Bulls record. All I'm saying is that they don't have that much energy. They gonna have to rest up for the post season. They don't need to hurt themselves to chase that record.

If you think about if they were to beat the Bulls record they would go on a 44 game win streak. The Mavs are really good but not 44 games in a row good.

the answer is no. although it's quite amazing how the mavs string up consecutive victories, the record set by the bulls will be very difficult to beat.

there are a lot of championship contenders benchmarking their teams against the mavs. so you can bet that dallas will not have it easy.

besides, some teams in the west will play it strategically aiming to get the best placing in order to avoid the mavs as much as possible till the west conf finals.

you also have those teams trying to get to the playoffs. they will try to win as many games as they can to make to the past the regular season.

No...They would have to go undefeated the rest of the season in order to beat the record and that is practically impossible to do. If they lose 1 game they would tie the record and that going to be a tough feat.
