No a true petri dish only holds about 10 ml of water when it is filled to the brim of the dish. This is because not much moisture is needed to grow a bacteria colony.

You can work it out....

Measure diameter of petri dish, take half of this value (the radius).

Use-: pi x radius x radius, to give the area of the dish, then multiply it by the height of the dish.
This gives the volume in cubic metres.
