No there is no shot to make you not have periods. Yes, after giving birth you will immediately have what's pretty much just a long period. After noth of my children it lasted right at 2 weeks.

I wish there was a shot to stop periods, I would be all over that. The only shot that I know of is the Depo, wish is just to prevent you from getting pregnent.

As for after giving birth, you will bleed for 4 - 6 weeks, their will probably be clots in it as well, and as the weeks go by, it will lighting up, With both of my girls, they lasted about 4 weeks. Also you can not use a tampon for atleast 6 weeks.

If you mean something that will lighten your period I never heard of such a thing unless you had some sort of fibroids and they remove them.
You usually have a period for as long as 6 weeks after birth.. its heavy at first and lightens as the days go by.

You can get a depo shot which usually stops you from menstruating, but the side affects or not good at all. Weight gain, mood swings, and spotting at the oddest times as well as screwing with your bone density, I would never recommend it for anyone, but its your body.
