I always say they named it after my granny who lived there her entire 92 years, her name was IsaBELLE.
God I miss that woman.

Grew up in the second largest county
in my state. Now living in a tiny
little community. My neighbors
have 5 horses. Much different
from my childhood home

The town that I grew up in had about 8,000 people in it. I moved away right after high school and now it has over 50,000 people living there.
It's weird to go home and visit - every thing has changed.

Now I live in the country & love it but I came from a large City...There is still part of me with City smarts,but I prefer the country by far! =)

yes, the phone book was just one page.
the city limits sign was on the same telephone pole.
it was so small it was onlyh 85 cents by taxi to anywhere you wanted to go
instead of roads the town was carpeted.
