Can i have cichlids?
right now i have a 55 gallon with 1 peacock eel, 3 angelfish, an upsie down cat, a striped raphael, 1 female guppy(the male just dissapeared),a pleco, a bunch of ghost shrimp that they all just eat, and a small crab. i am moving the guppy to a 20 gallon tank to breed her just to use the fry as food. i know its mean. and the pleco is also getting moved. i want something colorful and active but not small. and i want to get a fire eel and a tire track eel also. had before. loved them.

Giant Danios aka Devario aequipinnatus or the very similar Devario malabaricus. Get about 6 of them. They are great lively fish for less than $2 each.

No, you cannot add more fish. You are already very overstocked as it is. One full grown angelfish alone requires 30 gallons of water. Right there, you're looking at a 90 gallon tank. Peacock eels require 30-50 gallons. A full grown upside down cat needs 30 gallons of water. A striped raphael can grow to 9 inches and also needs around 50 gallons of water. A pleco, depending on the species, can grow from 4 inches to 18 inches and will need anywhere from 30 gallons to 125 gallons respectively. When talking about these large fish, the water requirements, or moving, of the guppy is insignificant. Add another 30 gallons for your shrimp and crab. Even without the pleco, and like I said, the requirements of the guppy are irrelevant, you still should have about a 200 gallon tank. And then there is the matter of compatibility. Even if you had a large enough tank, cichlids and angelfish shouldn't be combined because they are both considered semi-aggressive because of their territorial tendencies. If you want to keep all of these fish, you need to consider a larger tank. Getting one would leave you this 55 gallon that you could then put a couple of cichlids in with, maybe, the upside down cat.

well, #1 is that your peacock eel ate your guppy. with a peacock eel in your tank, no fish under 3" should be kept, these guys are predators! they get to about 10" full grown. they need a minimum of a 36" long tank, yours is ok for that right? i can't remember measurements in relation to gallons.

what kind of pleco is it that you're moving?

with the 3 angelfish, have 2 of them paired yet? if you do find 2 of them pair off, the third may have to be rehomed due to the pair being aggressive.

don't get those other eels, your tank isn't large enough!
a fire eel needs a minimum 180 gallon tank, they grow to 2ft long.
a tyre track eel is the same, they grow to about 40" long.

i'm not sure what else can go in your tank to be honest, the peacock rules out small fish, but larger fish over 3" would be pushing your stocking levels. i thought about congo tetras, but i'm not sure if the angels would nip at their long fins. hmmmm. *ponders*

oh, a group of say 4 giant danios (Danio aequipinnatus) may work. but this is all you're really going to be able to add, your tank is pretty much stocked as it is!
