Best to check with your doctor. Various factors may be involved - the surgery, your health, breastfeeding, etc.

It is nothing to do with the C Section, it is your body returning to normal after childbirth and pregnancy. If you are breast feeding this can stop your periods - I did this and did not have a period for a year. Periods usually return 6 - 8 weeks after having a baby. If you are concerned mention it to your Doctor or Health Visitor. Just because you are not having a period dont think you cant get pregnant again because you can so take precautions!

I don't think your period returning has anything to do with if you delivered naturally or c-section. If you are breast-feeding it may (or may not) take a bit longer for your period to return. Check with Doctor, but I am pretty sure 9 weeks isn't too long to be worried about.

I wouldn't think it would be any different from a vaginal delivery, periods can take months to resume especially if you are breastfeeding, enjoy it.
