Unconstitutional? Hardly. There is no prohibition in The Constitution regarding property taxes. Now, is it the fairest way to fund schools? Probably not, especially in poorer areas.
Income taxes are generally the fairest of all taxes since they are based solely on the ability to pay. That doesn't help in poor communities much so a state-wide levy would make much more sense at least to a point. Even then, when you compare relatively poor states to wealthier ones, a national tax is probably the best of all.

They're constitutional. Maybe they're not unfair, since it ends up paid by a very large portion of the population. Renters essentially pay it indirectly, as part of their rent.

no taxes are not. it is needed to support education. we are the children of tomorrow. yes is is fair. it's not fair that weare not all taken care of the right way when it comes to the money.
