Aside from the obvious birth control issue, did you notice a decline in your breast milk supply?

I got my cycle 2 months after I gave birth and I am still breastfeeding exclusively. I didn't notice any change in my milk supply.

Yes I had my cycle too. I breast fed 4 children exclusively. I was breast feeding my first son, and got pregnant with my second son. Continued for about 3 more months so I could have a break. I did notice a decline in milk while pregnant though. Now with my twins I had plenty of milk, and had irregular cycles.

hi,
i had baby in 05. I started my period while exclusively breastfeeding after 3 months. I found my supply did dwindle for a few days but was fine after that. I also found that just before my next periods were due the baby did not like to feed as much but once it started it was ok. I fed until he was 15 months old.

My baby is 4 months. I have had 3 periods in 4 months and i am exclusively pumping full time.

the days of the period the supply is low and picks up once period ends.

what you can do is take rest, drink lot of fluids and eat nutritious stuff.

not with my first child, but with my second i got my periods after just 6 weeks! my daughter was ten weeks premature, and i worked hard to establish breastfeeding with her being exclusively fed breastmilk from day one,i successfully breastfed my daughter until she was 14 months old so i experienced no problems with milk supply

i did at 8 months w/ babies 2 & 3--no probs w/ milk supply. i have heard some babies don't like the taste of breastmilk if you have your period b/c of hormones, haven't noticed any probs due to that with #3. breastfeeding isn't a reliable form of birthcontrol either, use a backup! my sister-in-law got preg twice (planned) while nursing babies.

I breastfed both my children (never used bottles for either) until they were one-year old - I continued to have a period with both the whole time and it did not effect my milk supply.

i be responsive to breastfeeding in a manner is a contraceptive, yet no longer a assure (as all contraceptives). It does reason you to have astonishing cycles nevertheless, and rigidity can upload to it. I breastfed for a mutually as however the rigidity of breastfeeding rather drained me out, because of the fact my infant did no longer decide for to breastfeed and that i did no longer supply up, yet she saved rejecting it for months..and my cycles have been astonishing.
