Yes. It can take weeks sometimes for the hormone to show up in your body to say you are pregnant. If you are only a few days pregnant your body hasn't even caught up with itself to tell you or a test your pregnant. If your talking about the test you took switching form negative to positive after a couple days if you don't throw it away know it is what it is. But yes give it at least a weel or two more and try again or you will start your period.

It is very possible that it could take you weeks to get a positive result. I have a friend that missed her period, and tested the test came back negative a week later there was still no period so she tested again and still negative. She went thru this same process for almost 3 weeks before she got the positive.. It just depends on if there is enough of the HCG hormone in your body for the home pregnancy test to pick up. Give it a week if you dont get your period test again...

Well, I would definetly give it 3 or four more days, then take another test. Of course it's possible your pregnant, my test came back negative 2 days before my period, but positive when I was 2 days late. Let your hormones work. Don't get to worked up, I know it seems like forever, but just be patient. I knew i was pregnant like 2 weeks after my normal pregnany because I had unprotected sex right on my concieving day, so I was just sure. (at least i thought so) and I went to the doctor they said no, I went bak at the end of the month and YUP I was right, it just takes a while.

If you are late and the test was negative yes you can be pregnant. I waited a week after my period was missed and it was negative(I took 2), , but I knew something wasn't right, so I had a blood test done and I was 6 weeks along.
I was in a car accident a couple years later and it was on the day after my period should have started and they gave me a urine test at the ER and it was negative. When I got home, I scheduled an appointment with my doctor and got another blood test. I was 5 weeks pregnant.
Those HPT tests aren't 100% accurate.

you have to realize the test are only so effective... missing one day is not that bad.. stress, diet etc all affect your period.. the test measures for HCG I believe and it grows exponentialy when you are pregnant... a home test will work after about 3 or 4 weeks of being late, but still can be wrong.. a test from a hospital can show a positive in as little as 2 weeks

If it has been 4 weeks then it is most likely that you are not pregnant if it was negative. The tests are usually pretty accurate, and can actually come up positive up to 5 days before your period is due.

yes there is a possiblitly, Due to your hormones it could take up to three weeks to show up, but before you get all worked up, you just be late. It happens, Hormones change and you don't even know it. Give it some time and if you don't start within a couple of weeks, take another test. if that is negative as well, see a doctor, there could be something else wrong.

If you expected your period yesterday and the test was negative you probably are not, but just to be safe, if you don't get your period in a week, test again....there's always a small possibility as long as your period is missing.
