There have been some whispers that Favre would like to see the offense upgraded and, perhaps, even have the Packers trade for disgruntled Oakland receiver Randy Moss. But McCarthy said the status of the team wasn't on Favre's mind.
This would be like 50 Cent playing a concert in Graceland. I don't know that these cultures can coexist.

The Green Bay Packers and Lambeau Field represent all that is seen as pure about football ... old-school toughness, honoring the past, tradition, history, and nostalgia. Randy Moss, meanwhile, represents ... well, Randy Moss represents other things. The perception of Randy Moss, fair or unfair (and I'm guessing that the FanHouse commenters are chiming in on the side of "fair"), is of a selfish malcontent, a cancer, a "thug," and probably much, much, worse.

If it should come to pass that Moss ends up in Green Bay, at the very least, Moss and the fans are both in for a long "getting used to each other" phase. This could keep sociologists busy for years.

And that's not to even mention to psychological damage that this could do to Joe Buck.

hmmm. overrated randy moss with raiders who have no good qb in there arcenal. There is no way the raiders will not trade him for anything in the world. He's too good of a player, plus the raiders had to give up a couple of draft picks they could have used. but if the packers do get him, it's not going to be great season if favre is not playing at his best. Go New york Jets.

I heard a report on ESPN yesterday that Randy Moss is staying in Oakland.

I doubt it. I think the media is over blowing Favre being interested in bringing him in. If they can get him cheap it would be worth a shot. But he won't be worth anything much more than 5th round pick. His best days are far behind him and he's not worth the headaches. The Packers are too much of a class organization to bring in this jerk.

No, because they already have star WRs and there is no way the Raiders would let Randy Moss go without a fight.

I heard they were interested in him. I think it would be a good move. Favre to Moss has a nice ring to it. But Moss would have to restructure his contract so I doubt it will happen.

Actually I heard that Moss and their new coach had a good talk, so I'm not sure he's going anywhere.

Moss hasnt played in a decent offense for years, it would be interesting to see what he could do with a qb.
Is he a free agent? Trades are rare in NFL.

Nope, they don't need him anyway. If anyone should the Dolphins should. Before Dolphins fans scream riddle me this when was Culpepper good? When he had Moss. When did he start to suck? When Moss left. When was Moss good? When he had Culpepper.
