Maybe the words don't mean much but knowing that you have support of friends during draining times, like exams, can make a big difference to your confidence and state of mind. All the best!

Actually. It does. For me, at least

Personally, whenever a friend wishes me luck before the exam, I kind of get this feeling that at least that person wants me to do well in the exam.

Well it is a bit stupid. But makes me confident.

No, it is not going to change your exam results. Your studying and being prepared will take care of the results. Your friend was just trying to encourage you and let you know that she is their for you.
Do not read so much into a simple statement.

For some one this will make some difference in their confidence especially when said by the best friend!But most of the others have no impact by saying all the best because every one is saying all the best every occasion(familiarity breeds contempt)!

it dosnt . cuz ders ntn as luck. the only thing dat can bring u success is hardwork. but its kind of a gesture tht shows tht u care. thts sweet aint it?

if the person who wishes u matters a lot to u,then u start making positive preconceptions. you keep hiking that something nice is going to happen.... and it eventually happens!!!
it's all in your mind. be positive and everything will be positive in your life!!!!
