I like the Amazing Race, it's one of the only reality shows I watch. It's actually interesting to see all the places they go. As far as others, I think they participants get their 15 min of fame... all it's worth really. At least with the Amazing Race they win money from it, not just letting everyone into their private lives for the sake of television.

Well they are SO FAR from reality that its pathetic. I know someone who was on one of those reality tv shows (wife swap) and they said it was soo scripted they wish they never agreed to do it. All the real goings on between the people were deleted and edited.

I don't think it makes them successful either. Look at Hatch or whatever his name was. He's in trouble with the gov't for not paying.

I like reality shows, but don't think of them as "reality" other than Amazing Race.

The shows don't make them "successful"--hey, look at Richard Hatch, but they get their 15 minutes of fame.

what happened to all the good comedies? i am so sick of all the reality shows. there are a few good ones but 75% of them are just totally not even interesting. i wouldn't want to be on one. if there is any success involved it is short lived, except for the few exceptions form American Idol.
