Most Egyptologists hold PhDs, concentrating in archaeology or language. Its also possible to pursue this field if you concentrate on art history or history. You'll need to go to school for at least 4-5 yrs after college. I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with the schools in or near India or how much they cost. This is a fascinating field and I'm sure that it will be a rewarding career. Good Luck!

It will take 5 to 6 years, and you don't have the time, really. but if you must, the best school for it is in miami fl. be careful there, the cost if you qualify for scholarship of about 50% is going to be right around 50grand. + or - 20 grand. PS if you think in terms of money, try getting inot energy, we are running out.
