nazism was a socialist movement! You are on the wrong side of the political spectrum when you compare it to conservatism.

I'm not a neo-con by the way I prefer just plain conservative.
Neo con is too liberal for my likings. You'll notice that alot of the liberals on here think it just means really conservative.

A neo-conservative (abbreviated as neo-con or neocon) is part of a U.S. based political movement rooted in liberal Cold War anticommunism and a backlash to the social liberation movements of the 1960s and 1970s. These liberals drifted toward conservatism: thus they are new (neo) conservatives. They favor an aggressive unilateral U.S. foreign policy. Excellent question.
As you can see from some of the more "rabid" answers, most of the liberal folks on this board don't have a clue.
They have heard the media use the term to describe members of the administration and have taken it as a term of derision.
And they accuse the right of being sheep!

It was to describe the Democrats that jumped over and supported Ron Reagan. These "New Conservatives" made it a land slide election.

a neo conservative is a person who like a lemming follows blindly the repubs no matter who it is..if the repubs put up a monkey (george bush) they will follow him ---a neo con is also a very unintelligent person with money and no sex drive
