Yes!! The best site is autotrader or buy the magazine out every Thursday morning. This is the best time to look because the best ones go before you know!!! You can find cars near to your postcode too!

Try this: If you see a car for sale that you might like, usually when you inquire about it it has been sold, or if has been advertised for any length of time it is probably not worth looking at it or it would have been sold.
What I have done many time is to put a wanted ad.in the local free papers for the price you would like to pay. My thinking on this is when the seller contacts you, you are probably the only one that knows about the car so you don't have any competition, it has worked very well for me and I have got cars for my three nieces, and good cars too

Try auto trader, local papers, auctions
Remember though buyer beware, if possible take someone with you that knows a little about cars, buy one with 1 years or nearly 1 years mot,ask to see the service manual if possible.
If you can afford it put the money down on a new car,you can get one for about £5,000 these days and you will get at least 3 years warranty.

Nothing on ebay under £1k? Usually loads, I've got a cracking R reg escort there that I'm expecting to make roughly £550. Ebay number 140089207522.

Other place is your local rag or supermarket message boards.
