You never can tell. There is so many things we don't know about the universe. Another universe may have already come into being and is expanding into our local space as I type! But as we are restricted to the speed of light our first warning of this will be our extinction. I think it depends on what your job is. If your job is really good and you like it, I would say go in. It will take your mind off your imminent extinction. If you hate your boss go in and you can have some small satisfaction in making his/her last few hours miserable knowing that they can never get even because they are about to get vaporised(however you might be a too busy vaporising yourself to get much satisfaction out of this). If you job is really awful go out and get drunk. Enjoy what time you have left and if the universe doesn't end stay at home. When you recover from your hangover go out and look for a better job!

You should go to work. Even if a fresh Big Bang occurred tomorrow at the nearest star, it would take about four years for the light to reach us (neglecting super-expansion). More likely it would occur much farther away, perhaps in another galaxy. Even more likely it would require all the matter in the present universe to collapse into a singularity (of infinite density) and recycle into a new Big Bang. Even scientists don't know if there is enough mass in the universe to arrest and reverse the present expansion. It would make far more sense to look both ways when crossing the street (on your way to work).

The Big Bang happens once an Eon, so it probably won't happen again for billions of trillions of years, long after our sun dies out.
And it is believed the Big Bang happened because of atomic fusion inside a singularity. A primordial atom imploding on itself due to gravitation forces at the center to the point where active radiation starts fusion happening and the results are an outward explosion.
What no one knows is where all that mass came from.

There are two possible fates for the universe, depending upon the value of the Hubble number.
1. The Universe continues to expand.
2. The Universe collapses back upon itself, which may trigger another big, although smaller than the last, bang.
In either event, impending big bang is not a viable excuse not to get out of bed.

is this a serious question ? ... anyway ...
the big bang either happened only once or billions of times before (every 20 to 30 bilion bilion years). In either case, you won't see a big bang in your life time that's for sure :)

you may run into economic problems if you operate on those assumptions.
The big bang happened once and will never happen again.
So,there!
