I believe that animals can show signs of love. Many birds bond with just one partner their whole life and lots of animals become depressed when they lose a companion, whether it be human or another animal. Not to mention the daily affection we share with our own pets.
I don't know if you have ever heard of KoKo the female gorilla who was taught sign language by Dr. Francine Patterson. This gorilla lives at The Gorilla Foundation in mountainous Woodside, California. She used to have a pet kitten that she loved, but sadly the kitten got run over by a car. When they told her the sad news, KoKo signed that she was very sad, and when she went to bed that night she cried just like a human, her constant sobbing was heart breaking to hear. You could really feel her pain. When I saw this on TV I was so moved that it made me cry to see another creature so obviously suffering a broken heart. You can find lots of information about KoKo if you type her name in a search engine. She is amazing.
Just as we humans are all different in how we choose to express our love, I'm sure that animals are the same.

I think they do. I had an uncle who died in 1996. While he was dying his dog would lay in bed with him and just keep him company. After he died the dog was like down (depressed) or so she seemed for a few days. But I kind of took my uncles place and the dog adopted me. She would wait for me to come home and be all happy to see me. It killed me when it came time for me to put her down because she was herself dying. So YES I think dogs or any animals is capable of love. Be it to humans or other animals.

Yes they do. Perhaps not in the same way that humans do, but animals absolutely have the capacity to love.

That in deed is a curios question. Like the adre girls said, yes they can, they also have sentiments, well only some kinds. For example, cats suffer of depresion if they master or babyes dye, that is in deed a sign of love.

yes. I once had two dogs that had been together since they were very young. One of them passed. The other grieved for 2 days until I found her beside the grave of he other dog. She had also passed. The vet said that she had grieved herself to death over her mate. That I would say is true love..

I definitely feel that they feel love. They feel all emotions. They feel happy, sad, angry, playful and they watch over you.
When I was sick all the time and in and out the hospital. My cats knew. My cat actually knows that I'm sick before I do. He starts to follow me and he wants to do is cuddle and give kisses.
Answer to your question is yes!
