No not normal.A burning sensation and numbness are symptoms of a "pinched" nerve somewhere(probobly in your hand). If it gets worse you must mention it to your doc. Even though he/she can't really do anything yet at least maybe there will be some plan of what to do after your pregnancy. Steroids are used to treat this(back, neck) so I can see why you can't have those. Hang in there, hope you get better.

The Homeopathic Remedy ARNICA MONTANA works the best in such injuries and it is perfectly safe to take it during pregnancy take it in 30 potency, three times a day half hour before meals, you can take it more frequently in the start like every half an hour till you start feeling relief after that take it thrice a day half hour before or after meals till you are feeling 100% better. Guaranteedd relief without any side effects or complications. Take it from someone who knows. :-) To read more about it click the link below :- http://homeoint.org/books/boericmm/a/arn.htm

Take Care and God Bless You !

P.S
And please under any circumstances do not take any steroids or drastic medicines.
