Why do some women get a feeling like a lump in back of throat when pregnant?

I also am getting too much saliva in mouth like I am going to be sick and hot burning sensation. So weird!

because the hormones that act on the smooth muscle to relax it (uterus) act on the smooth muscle of the throat and oesophagus (food pipe) as well. It is probably heart burn.
Also, ligaments are affected - which is why it is important not to over stretch your joints or back in pregnancy.

Hope you don't feel under stress as this can be a symptom.

I would suggest seeing you GP about symptoms to determine cause.

It could just be symptom of morning sickness or it may not, visit your doc.

every one gets different feelings when pregnant.this is due to the chemical substance your body produce during pregnancy,don't worry your body will soon get use to it .the lump and feeling sick you felt will stop after 3 months because your body will be use to it by then

sounds to me as though you are suffering from heartburn which is common in pregnancy, go to the chemist and buy some gaviscon as this is safe to use and will get rid of that awful taste in your mouth, good luck

sounds like heartburn hun! get yourself some gaviscon or have a drink of milk when you get that feeling. i was the same when pregnant. when goin to bed also prop your pillows a little higher, its just acid in your tummy, nothin to worry about... good luck x

My woman got a lump in the back of her throat when i was making her pregnant. "not that i'm bragging " !
