Is anyone else horrified at the pictures of the pigeons with electronics implanted in their brains. How many were killed before the first successful operation, or is it just a matter that science is advancing and to hell with the cost?

That was very disturbing.

Most scientists don't care about animals though.

I really was repulsed by the fact that they had so much control over the birds. They could make them move left, right, up , and down. The pidgeon had no free will in the matter. I got a shiver up my spine when I read it. How much longer before they put that stuff in higher vertibrates? I could think of several uses, all really creapy...
