I KNOW THAT THIS IS IN THE TATOO SECTION! I KNOW THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT HAVE TATTOOS TEND TO HAVE PIERCINGS... AT LEAST MY FRIENDS DO.

ok... so next week, i'm thinking about getting my belly button pierced. And i just wanted to know if it hurt more than.... like getting ur ears pierced. Please be honest... becaue i'll still get it done if it hurts... i just want to be prepared for it. Also... after u get it done... does it usually get infected like everyone says... or is it fine???

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

It hurts. Not as bad a tongue ring. It will really hurt when it gets all infected. (about 80% do because people don't let heal properly (let pants rub on it)

Well ya it hurts. I don't have my navel done but I do have my nose done and I can tell you it hurt a lot more than my ears. But...my friend said after having 2 kids it's was nothing getting her upper ear pierced. So I guess it just depends. Just remember, one way or another the pain will go away.

I got my navel pierced 5 years ago, but from what I remember it didn't really hurt. It's obviously a little tender for a while after. It doesn't necessarily get infected, but it does leak fluid because it's a healing wound.

out of all my piercing, my naval was the easiest... I had worked myself up into such a state over the pain factor that the peircer had to tell it was done...

I have since had to take it out because I am expecting a baby, but I would redo again if I felt like it... :)

No, it doesn't hurt at all, and they rarely get infected. Go for it!
