Yes.... they are given undue importance.... they earn money in crores and a middle class person or a college student spends money to watch movies, celebrate their birthdays, collect pics etc.
It so foolish ... they even dnt care to look at you or give you an autograph when they pass by.
And, then in Award functions they say they love us and thank their families... instead of us..........we give them fame & name & money.....but they think fans our fools.
Its high time we take them as humans and normal people whoose business is to entertain us... and yes we pay for it. Do you get crazy for a Clown in the circus or a Classical Dancer (who brings pride to our country and culture). No, we worship these people who have no sense of dressing as well as dignity ( not all... only few).
Hope we remove the tag of Superstars, Baadshah, kings from them
and just appreciate their movie in theatre and leave it there.
We are just giving them a hype.. encouraging our future generation to spoil there careers(those who dnt have potential)....if you really need to appreciate... appreciate actors like Dilip Kumar, Smita Patil etc.

Yes, India is a celebrity-crazy country. It is public who make celebrity. When public see that the so called celebrity is not performing up to the mark, it takes no time in forgetting him.

this is human nature... getting attracted towards celebrities... you should not single out India for this... people in US, Europe, east, west and every where same attraction will be found...
however, this is a bad quality... we should not get obsessed with anybody... right...?
