Do you wear panties under them or outside of them? What about with thongs, high hip or mini cut?

Seems more appropriate that way.

If the skirt is long enough try the hose without underwear. They feel better that way, once you get used it. Be sure the hose fit correctly, and that you put them on right. Don't do as so many girls do; try to pull them on like a pair of pants (and then complain about how uncomfortable they are).
If your hose fit correctly you forget you are wearing them. If they fit like crap, then they will remind you of their presense all day long.

I wear my panties under the hose, but your question makes me want to try the reverse. Could be fun!!
