Dear freinds,

Would appreciate if you would be a approprate advice. I have a freind who is married and to be divorced. He is gem of a person i have ever met in my life and he is so caring and loving. But unfortunately he is so depressed because of the bad thing that happend in his life. He thinks that there is nothing more in rest of his life and very often he gets angry. When i try to explain that this is life - he ends up yelling at me. I like him a lot and want rest of this life to be happy. What should i do?

He will have to work this out in his own head and heart. Right now, the last thing he wants to hear is that everything is ok. Listen to him and let him talk out his feelings. He needs to let it out. Be there to help him get through one day at a time and continue to encourage him. It will take time for him to heal. Just be a good friend and be there for him when he needs to talk.

Time to stop giving too much advice and just be a friend who is supportive.

Try to help distract him from thinking dark thoughts by doing other hobbies with him.

If he is clinically depressed or starts to show signs of self-harm, then he needs to see a doctor.

I divorce is alot like having a death in the family, everyone has to grieve, and go through the stages of grieving.
