A few days ago I had posted about bottlefeeding and how baby won't sleep more than 2 hours. Well, baby is still getting worst. Now, she won't even sleep more than hour and a half. But, my main question is this..after every feeding, I burp her. It might take a long time, but she burps. Then she'll fall asleep. Now, every day, all of a sudden, 20 minutes later, after she falls asleep, she'll wake up crying bloody murder all of a sudden, and then throw up. Then, she'll go back to sleep. What is the deal with that???? Is that considered normal? Is this something I have to live with for a while? Oh, then it sounds like there's popping in her belly before she gags and coughs. Is that reflux?

Any ideas? Thanks!

No your baby should not be vomiting and sleeping like that. Go to the store and get infant gas drops and lactose free formula and try giving the drops before and after each feeding and give the lactose free for a week or so. Also are you sure its vomit and not just spit up? The reason she is prolly waking up screaming is tummy discomfort. My son did that for a month then started vomiting like crazy and lost 1 pound in 2 weeks. The popping in her belly is air prolly. Hold her more upright while feeding or change bottles. Also dont lay her down right after burping. Keep her upright for 30 minutes in a swing or propped up see if it gets any better. Good luck. you can message me privately.

I think there possibly is a problem with your little one, is she worse when she is lying down? This is a good indicator of reflux. There are many things it could be so its worth getting her checked at the doctor. Babies do vomit but if its frequent and most of the feed is coming back its time to take action. Good luck x

She might be allergic to that type of formula. Or even to the milk in the formula. Try changing brands or go to soy. You should check with your doctor also.

yup it could be reflux or gerd. my son would do this when he was in the youngder months. he is now 10mo and still spits up a lot. they scream becasue it hurts, or its uncomfy. just imagine extreme heartburn.
