3 x 2 √3 - 2√3 =

√108 - √12 = √(12 x 9) - √12 = 3√12 - √12 = 2√12

= 2√(4 x 3) = 4√3

sqrt of 108 - sqrt of 12=

6 sqrt of 3 - 2 sqrt of 3= 4 sqrt of 3

108 = 2^2*3^3 => sqrt(108) = 2*3*sqrt(3) = 6*sqrt(3)

12 = 2^2*3 => sqrt(12) = 2*sqrt(3)

sqrt(108) - sqrt(12) = 6*sqrt(3) - 2*sqrt(3) = 4*sqrt(3)
