After the projectile leaves the gun, what are the accelerations in the x and y direction?

In most 1'st year physics classes, air resistance is ignored and the force on a projectile in the x direction is assumed to be 0. In the y direction the only force is the acceleration of gravity acting on the mass of the projectile (and, again, air resistance is ignored)
