If it's a MBA, then you could use it to guide your career towards the management track. However, a MS in an engineering field might be more helpful. You can still use it to help you get into the management track w/in the tech industry. If you want to be a manager at Morgan Stanley then an MBA is the way to go. W/ the MS, you can also get technical lead jobs like system architecture. It depends on what industry you wish to work in. However, they can both lead to management jobs.
