Is MDG a White Box computer? A lot of the time they can be very good machines but you have to be careful who you buy from and what components were used.

I wouldn't buy a Dell at any time. They are one of the poorest supported machines on the market and they come with all sorts of useless garbage installed that clog up the computer. They are built with off the shelf components, usually low bid stuff.

If you want a brand name computer go with Compaq, HP or Sony.

I am a Dell tech and yes we do keep up with security. If my computer got stolen I wouldn't want that person learning how to format and loose all my data. Not to mention if you get a Dell XPS all the phone support is based in USA and Cananda. No we can't help with passwords and more software support but as far as hardware goes, I used to build then and they use top of the line parts and never use name brands that nobody heard of.

Actually, the performance of the machine largely depends on your luck and the way you use it. But in general, Dell always supplies good machines. I have used 2 Dell desktops and 2 laptops and haven't faced any commentable problem. Moreover Dell is always in 1-3 rank. So I prefer Dell.

STAY AWAY FROM DELL!!! lousy service, lots of dell specific software, lots non windows vista compatible. and they go waaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overboard with security protection...if you lose your password forget it and if you dont have the EXACT owner name and address of record, forget getting any help on the computer issue you may have...anyone but dell.

you should not look for the brand name who made the computer. you shoulld look for the specs inside the computer.
which you will choose to buy a computer a well known branded maker the cost about $500 with the same specs of never heard brand maker that only cost $250?
