Why does our Indian Cricket team flunk out every time in World Cup?

No it doesnt really happen everytime. In 1979 we were almost through to semis. In 1983 we won the cup. In 1987 we were in the semis. In 1996 we were in semis (because of indian crowd, match given to Sri Lankans). In 1999 we beat Pakistan (who earlier beat Australia). Then in 2003 we reached the finals.

World cup is a different ball game. The big day is the final match. Each match has its own merits. Very much depends on the temperament and the nerves of the team as a whole and the individual capacity in terms of contributions. The pressure is too much on each player. The batsman just do not take his bat to the field but carries the emotions of millions of Indians that shall weigh more than the bat or his own playing talent. With this pressure they are bound to attempt a bad shot. Surprisngly many opt for a bad shot and throw up their wickets. Others teams are different. Their weight is less than an Indian Batsman. Think about it.

Not every time we won 1983 edition.We lost in recent times due not playing as cohesive unit,not focus on cricket is another reason due to individual endorsements.
