Here are some helpful suggestions :
Why don't you buy a longer spade?
Bury them in a cemetery where no-one will think of looking.
Rip out the floor of your shed and bury them under it, and replace the floor.
Or bury them at sea ;)

Ah, you're forgetting that warm tingly feeling when you have a good burn up.
