It is a scam and I hope you didn't give them your password or any other info, but in any case I would immediately call the bank and put a stop on all transactions immediately and tell them what happened. They will probably have to change your bank account number.

NO WAY!!!!
My mum got an email like that too.....saying she's the British citizen who's the lucky winner etc etc.
Guess what.....we're Indians!!!! We've never set foot in the UK!
It's a total scam, please pay close attention to your accounts now and never fall for these things in the future.

OK. You've made a mistake there. Never believe those things. I get probably 50 of them a day.
I suggest you ring the Police, and your bank and tell them to freeze your accounts before they get all your money

I hope you did not give them your routing number too... if you did your bank account savings should be empty by now... check it out right now... do not wait... you have just given these thieves just what they are looking for... and yes, close your account immediately... I hope you have learned a lesson without losing ALL of your monies... you can not win if you haven't played~~~

I've never heard of that and I'm British - the chances are they were after your bank details.
Phone your bank and ask them what you should do to make sure that they can't defraud you.

I would not answer it. You never entered the lottery, they shouldn't know your email, it's 99% a scam.
