Hello,
It is possible to connect your devices together. In my system i had two hard disks one running linux and other windows
and one dvd writer, one cd rw drive.I never experienced any problems.

I'll suggest to start from scratch.

1.Make sure that your both IDE cables are working if they are old get new cables.
2.Next connect 1st harddisk and check if system is working if it does continue attaching 2nd hard disk(with power off)

3.Check the jumper settings in two hard disks one should be master and one should be other than master. If you are confused abt this check hard disks manufacturer's site.

4.similarly connect 2 drives to other IDE.Again jumper settings are important one should be master.

5.Once all done turn on the system.First go to BIOS to check whether all drives are detected or not

if not turn off and check cables are attached

Happy Asembling!

What is the exact problem? Not enough plugs? Not enough power? Hardware not being recognized? Etc. Some problem does not give us enough information to help.
