I was so nervous too. This is completely normal as your body goes through a ton of changes and yes it does hurt. I had a Ceserean since my epidural didn't take. If you tremble or are really fearful of intense circumstances, I suggest being put to sleep for the birth of your baby and having a Ceserean....no labor, no pushing, just after care pain and recovery. It really wasn't that bad at all. I was up and moving around within 24 hours.

before i had my son i said i was never going to hav children and that i was going to adopt ( there are so many children in this world who do not have loving familys or a real home to call home) so if you truly do dont want to have deliver a child that doesnt mean you cant have children. as far as an epedural NEVER get it! it does not completly numb you do to the fact the doctors want you to be able to feel what your doing during labor and when i was going into labor i got the epedural an hour later my blood press. went up and the babys heart rate droped (talk about disturbed! that was the worst thing ever) i had feel asleep and the next thing i know there were 20 people (not kidding!) in the room doctors midwives nurses the internal medicine guys a ultrasound lady EVERYBODY and they were all yelling and they through me over and stuck an oxgen mask on me, come to find out the epedural is what cause my blood presure to rise so they turnd it off and i had in complety natural! yes it hurt but not as bad as some women make it sound. plus its not the baby coming out part that hurts its the contactions and that to me felt like the cramps i get no kidding when i started having contractions i thought i was just having realy bad cramps.

It was the same for me i took 4yrs to become preg. i was also avoiding to become preg but once i became everything changed. i didnt go thro any pain ofcourse mine was c-section and i had to be operated before the due date as the umblical chord was wounded up. i didnt have any pain except for the injections. After that i was on pain reilef tab so thats it. no pain nothing. Not necessary tht everyone will have the same exp but nowadays things are changing. epidural is there.

I don't think there is any way of ensuring delivery is totally pain-free. But don't focus on the prospect of pain. In my experience, you don't remember any pain afterwards. It is all part of the process of having a baby, which is one of the most precious gifts on earth. With the loving support of your partner, you will be able to cope with anything you need to in order to have your baby.
