I was 23 when I got married, 27 when I had a baby. Stayed married for 33 years, husband died this year, I doubt that I'll marry again. Perfection is hard to top. True love is a choice, and is sustained by both parties acting in a loving way at all times, while, at the same time, allowing the other to to have their own truths and the space to be themselves. We love the things we love for what they are, not what we think they should be, or for what we want them to be ,nor for what they used to be... but only for what they are. Keep what you love about them foremost in your mind..then only the love will show.

19 but only because i was pregnant and I felt it was the right thing to do.. Im now divorced, it was very amlicable and were good friends. I would wait till somone is in there late 20's to make that type of commitment. Theres just so many other things out there that you will look back and wish u had done or could do. Granted I finished college 2x's with 2 degrees and have 2 beautiful children. But if your married young while all of your friends are still single it really makes it tough!!

Almost 19 the first time....for 14 years to my high school sweet heart. He left me for another man.
Three months the second time, three years later....abusive situation...that one was tough.
Third time is a charm! At 38, now 41 and married to the man of my dreams!!

I was 28. I felt that if I didn't do it then, I'd never do it. I felt pressured by societal/family and self-expectations. "It's what you're suppose to do."
I divorced 8 years later and have not remarried after 10 years. I doubt I ever will. In retrospect, I think I should have waited until I knew myself better, but I have no serious regrets.

My lover moved in with me when I was 20 and we started calling ourselves married when I was 21. We'll do the silly ritual for our families when I'm 24.
