Lots of emotional answers that show people don't really understand cloning that well. There is no way to make a carbon copy of someone that will have the same personality aspects.

The real question is your second one, why? There is no realized benefit to cloning humans. Endangered species have a real arguement behind cloning them, to preserve the species, but with humans there is no real problem that would be readily addressed by cloning.

As you see from the emotional answers, there is also a real resistance to this technology, and without a real benefit, it does not make sense to do it.

no! Of course not ! You should only live once and make the best of it, so that you regret the mistakes you made, and you think that if you're cloned, you could do better and not making the same one ? And if cloned, maybe the clone can't live long( the organs made from chemicals or artificial technology), and it can destroy society, culture, and also etiques and religius beliefs.
Ex : If you go for a ride and you get an accident, you survived but they declared that you lost. So they just clone another you with DNA samples, so when you come back after surviving the crash, you see your own self with your families, enjoying it. What would you feel about that ? You would feel very angry, right? You feel that you should just dissappear with no trace, without no one know that the one inside the house eating with your family isn't you, but another you?

cloning is not exactly necessary but the thing is this world is filled with (considered by society) useful people like scientists etc and useless people like the convicts and unemployed or with low I.Q.
if we can create several Einsteins or Stephen Hawkings for example, improvements in science and technology would be remarkable.
and people who are unable to bear children or don't want to go through labour but don't want to adopt or use other forms consider cloning beneficial.

no because if someone happens to be clonned they wont 100% BE THE SAME AS THE ORIGNAL plus if your an adult the clone would be pritty dum and might have to go to school (lol 99 year old man (clone) at school) plus i heard that some of the vital organs may not work as good as they should becasue they are falsely made by chemicals.

no..it's like making life..which is so busted...you can't make life...you just live through it...and what would those clones be?...you don't know...you may even bring about a race of super violent freaks...no...very impossible...it's against human right[sorta]..and God's laws...we're just human...we need to accept that.
