korean informal references change depending on the gender and age of who is speaking to who. that sounds complicated but lemme break it down for you =)

if you are a woman, then you would call:
older female: unnie
older male: oppa

if you are a man, then you would call:
older female: noona
older male: hyung

then if you are man or woman and you are addressing someone older or someone you don't know, you would attach "sshi" to their name. example: your friend junghyun introduces you to her friend kiyoung. you don't know kiyoung so if you were asking her a question or talking about her, you would refer to her as "kiyoung-sshi". with a strong "S" sound. but, you might not use this very often if you are young, as in a teenager or younger.

finally... I suppose you would all call younger siblings "YAH!" haha =) just kidding.

good luck!
