quotes i've been getting for annual insurance are ridiculously high.
anyone know of reasonable rates?

I would go with Insure For All. They are a competitively priced, specialise in senior travel insurance (so you will probably get the best quote and cover) and cover pre-existing medical conditions. They have won some insurance awards recently aswell.

nat west do a bank account called advantage gold in which you get free annual travel insurance along with loads of other benefits for £12 a month. i think you have to pay a one off extra fee if over 70 to be accepted for the travel insurance but well worth it

Took mine out with the Halifax,condition was only high blood pressure ,Annual insurance was £56.17 it was the cheapest I could find.

Try FlexiCover ... there are very few that cover over 70s anyway, but this one was quite reasonable.

I wish I did know of cheaper rates. Those policies are always expensive because the base is so small.
