Well...I have a golden puppy and a chinchilla. My puppy LOVES to come up to my room an watch the Chinchilla, and sometimes it almost seems like she's teasing him, trying to play. But that is while she is in her cage. I wouldn't recommend letting them "play" on the floor together.

we had our chinchillas before we got our dog, we got our dog when he was only 6 weeks old so he has been around them all his life, but he still just sits and watches them, he looks like he really wants to eat them.

i dont know if he actually would, but i wouldn't want to find out.

I wouldn't recommend it due to an experience I had with my Chinchilla (who is now dead). They were doing what I thought was playing and then all the sudden...... oh no!

it depends on the dog. if he is calm around other animal such as cats then it most likely won't be a problem. my dog sleeps with our house rabbit and loves our guinea pig also.the dog must be obedient and know that YOU ARE BOSS!!!
