sadly some people look on kindness as suspicious.assuming that no-one does something for nothing.if more kindness was shown however maybe the world wouldnt be the scary place it is now.

Sometimes when a person is deeply depressed or angry at themselves, the last thing they want is for someone to be kind to them or try to make them feel better. I know it sounds strange, but I have been there myself. You are in a state of self hatred and you don't feel like you deserve kindness at the time. You get so caught up in how terrible you are, that anything positive makes you angry. It is a bad place to be but continue being kind and they will snap out of it eventually. Some people think that others who are too nice have a hidden agenda. It's a world where we no longer trust each other and so many people suffer from depression and low self esteem. Keep being kind.....it's what the world needs more of.

I rarely met people getting angry with kindness, rather they were kind to me and appreciated, say, a little help. I think those people you mentioned seem to have a problem, that is, they don't know and never practice any kindness to anyone. The world for them may be their own without any kindness, how can that be, I wonder? For decent, educated and sane people, they are kind toward others without expecting anything in return; they offer their kindness out of their habit and good manners. In short, those people might have misunderstood something about how civilized people in the world live and share with kindness.

I have found that there are people who just mean spirited and set in their ways. I work with so many people, no matter how nice, how much I smile, or kiss their bottoms, they are not responsive to my kindness. They rather snarl, yell, and complain. I think some people you just have to let them run their course until something happens that makes them want to change.

I have found that simply telling the truth has resulted in immature reaction. Immature verbal reaction is the result of juvenile behavior and a whole lot of adults never grow up especially those that deem honesty to be anger.

They don't like to be beholden to anyone and they feel that they owe you one if you help them. It has been my experience that the people who are most vicious to you are people who you have helped out of tight spots. Notice the amount of people taken to court because they refuse to repay a loan that was made to them by their friends in good faith.

they dont trust anyone being kind to them and can't tell if someone's faking it or not. and they are suspicious of the other persons ulterior motives. they're not used to other people being kind coz kind people are rare this days. everyone just doesn't seem to care.

its because they dont relate to kindness because they themselves are mean. they only like mean people, mean places, and mean things.
