you can put your name on the adoption register, contact the social services department who arranged the adoption as the rules on adoption have changed now and birth parents of adopted children get more help now then they used to. there are also various websites you can place ads on. i paid for a private detective in the end though and he found my birth dad and 2 birth brothers for me so now just looking for birth mum.

Try your local Social Services. They should be able to point you in the right direction.
