I have an Acer Aspire Notebook. The dvd-rw drive for some reason suddenly is not autorunning the cd's and dvd's.
I tried 1) Re-installing drivers. 2) In device manager.. changed to defaults for the optical drives ..3) in start>run>services.msc -the autorun is enabled which is disabled if necessary. 4) Registry - HKEY_CURRENT_USERS>Software>microsoft>windows>current verson>explorer. There is no "noautorun" key present. 5) Anitvirus up to date.. no virus..

please help

Go to My Computer, RIGHT click the cd/dvd drive and click Properties then click Autoplay.
select Musi CD and then select in Actions, Select an action to perform then click the action you want it to take and finally click OK

Now put a CD in the drive and be pleased with yourself
