Name of a movie I saw on BBC years ago.?

Question

The movie was about a man who took care of his elderly mother when she had a stroke. She could not talk right and other people did not understand. Towards the end of the movie she had another stroke and I believe she died. It was a wonderful movie and I would love to see it again.

This sounds rather like 'Lost for Words', which starred Pete Postlethwaite and Thora Hurd. Though I think it was on ITV. The IMDB link below gives you a picture of what they both looked like.
