Sure, I think I can answer that for you. I read about that a few weeks ago.

Imagine our Milky Way galaxy as a big round disk made up of stars and planets. Now imagine an arrow going right through its center like making a bulls eye. The arrow is said to be 90 degrees perpendicular to the disk. A Black hole is believed to be is said position by some Mayans and even some astronomers. Any planets or suns that are on the same plane as the disk would be center aligned in the galaxy and also 90 degrees to said Black Hole.

In the year 2012, according to some Mayans, our Solar System is suppose to be right in the middle of our Milky Way galaxy, but not in its center, were the Black Hole is. Like a slice of pickle on the outer edge of a burger. This supposedly only happens every 25,800 years.

In this location, it is believed we will be exposed to increased solar flares. This could mean more heat will reach earth, as well as other types of radiation. We can then expect all the things associated with a hotter globe, like stronger earthquakes, more active volcanoes, maybe even a pole shift.

All and All, it's not so bad, things could always be worse: Like say we triggered a nuclear winter with our wars.

What do you mean by that?
Is it a new conspiracy theory or what?
90 degrees. from the centre?

As far as I know the only "size" we have (in relation Earth/Sun and centre of Galaxy is that we are approx.30.000 nlight years away from centre.
We are talking about a distance that, my mind at least, cannot comprehent.
How is it possible within 5 years from now to be in 90 degrees? from what? HOW? and in what inclination is earth now, in relation to centre of Galaxy?
Take it easy my friend... I presume you are a new user...and it takes time to get used to the "conspiracy theories", "apocaliptic" or theories about the end of the world. Relax and sleep easy.

Nothing will happen...:)
