Best thing is to take the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course, not only will you learn from professional instructors, they have loaner bikes to use, when you pass the course you have passed the driving test, and you get a discount on your insurance. Not to mention you learn how to properly handle a motorcycle in most emergency situations you may come across.
