when people tell you "get a life"? Where can you get... another one, lol?
I hate that expression!

I hate this expression, too! Why do they think their life is better than the others'? They know nothing!!!

There is always a touch of jealousy associated with that phrase. It is your life and you should use your time doing the things you like. If you think somebody should change their habits there are better ways of persuasion. One is by the power of suggestion, "get a life" is too negative. It ranks right in there with "get a job" "get a girl friend" and "get laid". I never liked any of them.

Oh yes! a pet peeve of mine too, but then i just think, obviously they are happy with what life has given them and they maybe aint imaginitive enough to strive for something more

Yeah, it's a rude expression. I've never been told that IRL though. People are such enigmas sometimes.

your right it is a stupid and useless expression it is right up there with when you lose something and someone says to you where was the last place you had the item.. damn if I knew that then they wouldn't be lost.
