I have the same problem. I use negative feedback to motivate myself but sometimes it back fires. I think it is natural for people to be self critical. What isn't natural is when a person feels terrible for days on end. For me it is every once and a while. I know that I am human and I will make a few mistakes [like I did earlier this week]. One thing that happens as we mature is that we learn to accept our failures and then move on. Unfortunately happiness isn't just turned on and off like a light switch, sometimes we have to change the program and mix up our schedule to find out what makes us happy.

there's soo much in this world, it makes it seem almost impossible to accomplish it all!... it can become overwhelming at times, however if you just kick back and take a look at what you have accomplished, however big or "small", pat yourself on the back for it!, and then think to yourself just ONE thing you want to do today, and o it, if you can't, no big deal, tell yourself again this tomorrow... you'll be surprised how much you Really do... you can tell yourself a monthly and yearly goals too... not too hard when there isn't alot of pressure and only "one" accomplishment fo you to do... but you do many...
just think, each day You have lived, you change a life (lives)! .....

I feel there are many reasons why people aren't happy, but no one likes to hear that Jesus is ready and listening to whatever you have to tell him.
I'm not happy with all of what happened to me growing up or the choices I made because of that, but accepting Jesus as my personal saviour has given me peace, no matter what I do now, even if I were Catholic and forgot one roseary bead.....
Being saved does not mean happiness for me, it means living for Him. Even If I were Paul spending my time in prison, God would have a purpose for me. I just hope God does not send me to prison though I'm 5' and wiegh less then hundred pounds and female, so hopefully a nice prison for me, yes ?
I find sharing God on the internet both fun and fullfulling, my husband shares at his work, my children hopefully share at their school, but if they do not, I hope to have teached them well.
Happiness is not money or fame or something to climb for on earth, it is something inside of you and find through Jesus you saviour.......

I tend to "self scold" too effectively. It sounds silly, but last night, I actually said out loud, Good job, _____! I am trying to learn to be nicer to myself, give myself the same breaks i give others.
